Print, Runaway & Bridal

The "Print, Runway and Bridal Makeup Course" empowers graduates with the knowledge and application skills necessary to excel in the editorial and commercial print industry, fashion runway, the world of pageantry and the multi-million dollar bridal industry. Students will learn application, business and people skills necessary to work with models, designers, photographers, wedding and pageant clients. The focus for this course is to educate students in the many makeup "looks" known as clean beauty, basic beauty, fashion and high fashion for bookings within the beauty and fashion industry. Students are challenged to perfect their newfound, advanced knowledge and skills from the previous course as well as to comprehend and foresee how their makeup applications will appear in the lighting it will be seen in. A complete understanding of how lighting affects makeup is crucial in order to excel as a beauty artist. Therefore, our curriculum covers in-depth, how to determine what to do differently for color choice and placement for the runway, an indoor photo shoot based on the photographers lighting or an outdoor shoot based on the weather and time of day, as opposed to makeup for everyday society’s makeup as taught in the prerequisite, Expert Artistry Application techniques course.
