Day One:
Michael Mosher will share with you his experiences and many lessons learned in his years for working as a makeup artist in TV and film. His work has lead him all over the world and he has great stories to tell that will inspire and motivate you to follow in his footsteps. Mike will teach you how to get work, from small low budget gigs to large productions. More importantly, he will teach you how to not get taken advantage of as a new makeup artist. That will include contracts, getting paid, buying supplies, travel expenses, per diem, etc.

Learning how to break down a script is also an important part of being a makeup artist for TV and film. You will learn how to create and develop your actors into the characters they will portray and become familiar with industry terminology as well as learn about all the crew and possible artist positions on the set. Day 2:
In addition to teaching the Beauty and Ethnic makeup and Period makeup workshop, Marietta also teaches day 2 of Advanced Career Marketing. Her style and approach to teaching is very real, down to earth and inspirational. Not only did she do the makeup on the film The Negotiator, she is known to be one of the best negotiators in the business and will teach you all of her wisdom about submitting for film work, getting hired, and negotiation of fees and contracts.

After this workshop you will understand exactly what it takes to work on huge Hollywood blockbuster movies with major stars and directors. Marietta will also discuss how to become a “Personal Makeup Artist” to a celebrity and all that it entails.
